Here’s the full overall description of everything new in Update 5.2:
Airstrike Mechanic Upgrade
The Airstrike mechanic now uses Dive Bomber Blueprints for upgrading. The upgrade increases Airstrike Bomber HP and damage.
Airstrike now has four clear steps in the mechanic once the squadron has been activated:
- Appearance (2.5 seconds): Squadron appears in the sky and dives to the common flight height. In this step, Airstrike squadrons don’t take any AA damage.
- Flight (5 seconds): Squadrons fly in and start taking AA damage.
- Bomb drop: The squadron reaches the target area and drops bombs. It requires 2.5 seconds for these bombs to hit the surface. In this time, squadrons will still take damage.
- Leave: Squadron flies high and disappears. In this period, ship AA will not target it anymore, even if it is still in range.
Overall, it takes 10 seconds between calling in the Airstrike and the bombs hitting the target area.
Airstrike Mechanic Modification
When a battle begins or a ship is respawned in Respawn Mode, Airstrike will be on cooldown.
Airstrike Equipment
For Tier VII and higher Dutch cruisers, a new piece of equipment has been added—Airstrike Modification I—which reduces the Airstrike cooldown time by 5%.
Airstrike Commander Skill
A brand-new Legendary Commander features “The Flying Dutchman” unique skill, which can slightly increase the Airstrike squadron flight speed.
Daily Container Multi-Opening
Players can now select the number of each daily container to open and can open up to 10 at a time.
Comparison System Enhancement
When players open the Comparison System list in the Port, the Ship List will be activated as well. Players can select a ship from the Ship List and add it to the Comparison System list directly.
New Ship Filter
A new Ship Filter has been added—Players can now activate the “Techline Ship” option.
Scrolling News for Battle Mode
If a time-limited game mode is active, a scrolling message will appear in the middle of the player screen on the Port. Please note that the message will only appear once after the game mode is activated.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue that caused the ship names of Commanders to not be displayed completely on the Commander Skill page.
- Fixed an issue that caused airborne Airstrike squadrons to be counted as “Planes destroyed” on the Battle Results page.
- Fixed an issue that caused Airstrike squadrons not to take AA damage at certain flight heights.

- Added the Spanish nation to the Ship Filter.
- Increased the maximum limit of Ship Slots from 400 to 500.
- Added Battle Honor missions for ships Cross of Dorn and Ship Smasha.
