New Techline Additions
Japanese Tier VIII battleship Yumihari
After the Russo-Japanese War, Japan adopted the Eight-Eight Fleet Program, stipulating that the navy should consist of eight battleships and eight high-speed armored cruisers. This plan underwent a number of changes. For example, the intended armored cruisers were replaced by battlecruisers, and the number of required ships was reduced. However, after the outbreak of World War I, Japan began to construct new ships. Their battlecruiser project became the Kongō class of ships, with the Amagi class of battlecruisers developed slightly later.
Japanese Tier IX battleship Adatara
Following the announcement of an ambitious shipbuilding program by the U.S. in 1919, Japan reconsidered the plans for the development of its Navy and gave the order to build four more battleships and four more battlecruisers. Thirteen variants of battleships and battlecruisers were presented. Project A was selected as the Kii-class battleship, and Project K was used for the battlecruiser. Construction was meant to start in 1922, but the battlecruisers were never laid down in the aftermath of the Washington Naval Conference.
Japanese Tier X battleship Bungo
After revising the development plan of the Japanese Navy, new battleships and battlecruisers were ordered, which is how Project L emerged—an expanded version of Project A that became the Kii class. She also had five main battery turrets housing 457 mm guns. However, the project's displacement exceeded that of the Kii class by 9,000 tons, resulting in a cost surge. The emergence of both the Kii class and the mentioned ships was prevented by the Washington Naval Conference, resulting in a temporary ban on the construction of battleships and limiting their total tonnage.
The Japanese Battleship Techline will be available in Early Access in late August.
New Premium Ships
Spanish Tier VIII cruiser Numancia
One of the variants of the Washington cruiser project, proposed to the Spanish Navy by the Vickers-Armstrongs company, and based on the Emerald-class hull but equipped with seven 203 mm guns in one (bow) three-gun and two twin-gun turrets. A linear arrangement of the boiler and engine rooms was adopted to ensure space saving for the propulsion unit. The ship was supposed to be faster than her original and have a catapult; however, preference was given to the project variant, which became the basis for the Baleares class of ships.
German Tier VII battleship Scharnhorst ‘43
The lead ship in a series of two battleships designed for raiding operations entered service a few months before the outbreak of World War II. Scharnhorst conducted her first battle raid in November 1939, followed by support for a landing in Norway, a raid into the Atlantic Ocean, and a breakthrough across the English Channel. In 1943, the battleship was transferred to Norway to attack enemy Arctic convoys. On December 26, 1943, Scharnhorst, flying Rear Admiral Erich Bey's flag, was sunk in battle by an Allied squadron off the North Cape.
French Tier VIII destroyer Hoche
Z25 was completed in 1940, built as one of 15 Type 1936A destroyers. She spent much of her service during World War II escorting German ships. However, in early 1946, following the war, she was allocated to France as part of reparations and renamed Hoche. After a series of reconstructions, she was later converted into a fast destroyer escort before eventually being decommissioned in 1956.
American Tier X destroyer Edson
USS Edson (DD-946) is a Forrest Sherman-class destroyer commissioned in 1958. She served mainly in the Western Pacific and Far East. The ship was decommissioned in 1988 and later became a museum ship in Bay City, Michigan, in 2004.
British Tier IX battleship Black Lion
Construction of Lion-class battleships started before World War II, but none was ever completed. The ships would have had a displacement of over 40,000 tons, an excellent propulsion system, and would have carried 419 mm main guns mounted in three triple turrets.
American Tier VII cruiser Black Brooklyn
The Brooklyn-class light cruisers carried more heavy-caliber guns than any other cruiser in the U.S. Navy: five triple 152 mm guns capable of delivering severe damage.
In addition to these Premium ships, more unique ships will become available during the Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova- and Megadeth collaboration events.

Operation Pedestal: The situation in the Mediterranean in early 1942 was bleak for the Allies. Germans had pushed their ground forces back from Gazala to El Alamein in North Africa, granting the Axis control of most of the Mediterranean coastline. Their success in Africa stemmed from the uninterrupted flow of materiel and supplies from Italy, and the frightening prospect of them gaining complete control over the region was becoming increasingly real. However, the Allies had one last hope: Malta, an island strategically situated to disrupt vital Axis supply routes. This candle in the darkness had the potential to heavily impact the Axis war effort, but the island was under massive blockade by fascists aware of its potential. As a result, Malta faced dire shortages of essential supplies, exacerbating the already precarious situation for the Allies. In the face of this, the Allies acted decisively and initiated Operation Pedestal. Its aim? Resupply Fortress Malta, whatever the cost.

Want to learn more about Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova-? Keep reading below!
Arpeggio of Blue Steel is an anime series based on the manga of the same name, set in the near future where the oceans of the world have been taken over by a mysterious force called the Fog Fleet. This mysterious and invincible fleet is made up of ships that imitate the appearance of real-life ships from the early 20th century, such as Kongō and Kirishima, and are equipped with mysterious super weapons.
Led by flagship Yamato, the Fog Fleet reigns the ocean with overwhelming military power. They maintain a blockade, preventing humans from going out to sea, and mercilessly sinking anyone who tries. As a result, countries around the world, including Japan, are cut off from communication and are gradually becoming more and more isolated.
Each ship in the Fog Fleet is commanded by a so-called "Mental Model" that imitates a human form. The story begins when Iona, the Mental Model of Japanese submarine I-401, receives an order to meet Gunzo Chihaya and bring him on board the ship.
