Here is a overall description of everything that is new in Update 4.2:
Teamplay rework
New Ribbons
Ribbons are now divided into two types: personal ribbons and teamplay ribbons, with different icon styles.
- Personal ribbons are for actions which directly deal damage or destroy ships, while teamplay ribbons are for actions which help your teammates or benefit the whole team.
- Most of the existing ribbons are personal ribbons, except these two: aircraft destroyed and Capturing points.
New teamplay ribbons added:
- Assist: deal damage to an enemy ship before it’s destroyed by your teammate - 30 seconds before the enemy is sunk.
- Enemy Spotted: spot a hidden enemy
- Capture Assist: support in capturing a point with 50% of the zone taken
- Capture Struggle: keeping a tie in capturing for a few seconds. Takes ten seconds of struggle to be rewarded
- Taking fire: receive enough potential damage. The potential damage is the sum of damage of all shells, bombs, torpedoes, etc. That hit the ship or pass nearby.
Teamplay score
- Teamplay score indicator added in battle.
- When a player gets awarded a teamplay ribbon, it will also increase the player's teamplay score. The exact amount of score is according to the ribbon and current ship type that is being used.
- Each ship type gets a different score with different ribbons. For example, a BB would get more points with taking fire while a DD would get more from spotting enemies
- With the additional ribbons, the space to show them has pushed into the medal territory, with this said medals will no longer be under the ribbons but the animation of being awarded one will be
- Team score has a maximum limitation
- The final battle score and rewards will be based on 3 factors - Damage, Ships destroyed, and teamplay score.
- The record of ribbons in the detailed battle page is updated too. It has been divided into two parts: Personal battle performance and Teamplay performance

Russian Split Line Release
With the release of Update 4.2, one of the newest splits can be seen in the Russian Techline. The Tier VIII Russian Destroyer Ognevoy will now be available once 4.2 goes live.
Universal Blueprint
We have added 5 levels of universal blueprints. They will only show when upgrading under these conditions:
- When designated blueprints are sufficient, universal blueprints will be hidden
- When designated blueprints are insufficient, universal blueprints possessed can fill the gap. Then the universal blueprints will be added below the designated ones
- When insufficient designated blueprints, no sufficient universal blueprints as a supplement. Universal blueprints will be hidden.
To use the universal blueprints
- When using the universal blueprints to upgrade, a confirmation menu will pop up to remind the player of the number of blueprints that will be consumed
Combination and Separation of the universal blueprints
- The universal blueprints are the same as the designated blueprint, which can be combined and separated.
- You can use the Blueprint Research button in the warehouse to combine and separate universal blueprints
Ship Comparison
- Players can select 2 ships to compare stats
- All ships can be compared
- The players should add ships into the comparison list first.
- Fully upgraded data will be used to start comparison (no camouflage)
Adding ships:
- Firstly add your current ships into the list: Press the compare button in the port
- Secondly, add ships you possess into the list: Find the add button in the Armory
- Next, add ships in the shop or events into the list: Find the add button in the Preview Page
- When players open the comparison list, they then can add the ships into the list by pressing this button
- The list provides a capacity of 6 ships, the players can remove ships from the list
- To start comparing, the player should select 2 ships in the list and then press the compare button
- By comparing the ships, the player can see an overall chart and statistics of each ship
- The Graphs page provides a chart focus on the main features, and list the skills, specialty, and equipment possessed
- The statistics page displays the comparison of each stats
Friend Referral
- The referral is available to players that have reached level 3
- The player can invite friends to join the game by sharing a message or picture
- The player that has been added can input the inviter’s ID immediately and receive a reward immediately

- Invitee needs to input inviters
- By inputting the inviter’s ID, the system will send a friend invitation to the inviter simultaneously
- Through this operation, we bind the invitee with the inviter in order to record the following progress
- Each time the invitee increases to a certain level, the inviter can receive several crew points
- Inviter will receive rewards when their crew points reach certain milestones.
- The event will automatically end when these 2 conditions are satisfied
- All rewards have been claimed
- Inviter ID has been input successfully or the player’s level is too high to input ID
- Crew points refers to the points that you recieve when your friend reaches a milestone
Added Unique Equipment in UI of ship detail
- Moved the ship special from the right to the left and added unique equipment. Now there are three parts under warship info
- Ship Skill, Ship Special, and Unique equipment
Optimization of the Aircraft Carrier
- Correct the line correction of aircraft in flight
- Before the connecting line was between the aircraft carrier position and the target position
- Now the connecting line is between the aircraft position and the target position
Battle Wiki - Combat Performance
- To introduce the data and ribbons displayed during the battle.
Blitz Pass Points Introduction
- When the player enters the Blitz pass page, and that Blitz Pass points are required, a hint will display on the button named “Get Blitz Pass Points” to guide the player
- This hint will be removed once the player presses the corresponding button
Other
- Added a message in the Info page to introduce the method to level up in the Blitz Pass
- In the Blitz Pass, the message will automatically change according to the resource required
- Remove Arms Race from Training Room
- MVP task is not available in Survival Mode
Bug fixes
Aircraft Squadron Return Bug Fix
- Now aircraft squadrons can only trigger return speed buff after dropping bombs and torpedoes
- Manually pressing the return button will not trigger the return speed buff anymore, so CV players cannot use the return button to speed up the air attack
Chat msg didn’t display the latest one
- Login the game and open the chat window, the player will find the chat screen display the latest message automatically
Range lag bug
- When players had a range over 15.5km, they would see that ships started to lag in the background. This has been fixed
Advanced Kit Immunity
- The advanced consumable now when used has the immunity preventing it from being flooded and set on fire for the period of time stated
Ghost and Carrier Torpedo glitch
- Torpedoes that are dodged and do not physically hit the players ship but damage is done is fixed
